Injured in a Road Accident?

If you have been injured in a road accident then you may be able to claim compensation for your injuries. In the main a road accident covers any incident or injury involving a vehicle, this means you don’t just have to be the driver to be eligible for compensation. If you have an injury and you were a passenger, a pedestrian, a rider or even a passenger on a bus or train you can claim compensation for your injury.

Personal Injury Solicitors

If you have been injured in a road traffic accident then you need an experienced team of personal injury solicitors to fight your case for you. These accidents can often be serious and your injuries may have long lasting consequences so you need your own independent legal advice to make your claim. This is especially important in traffic accident cases as there are many companies that might work through the car body shop or garage or on occasion the other party’s insurer to pressure you to settle your case too cheaply as they make money from selling your claim.

We are Different

Often if you do not get independent advice from a personal injury solicitor you may feel pressured into settling and actually devalue your claim as there are many costs like subsequent car hire, rehabilitation services that you might not even know you are eligible to claim for. If we take your case we will do so on a no win no fee basis and more importantly we work for you alone to get the best conclusion to your case and get the compensation for your injury that you deserve. Call us today on 0800 1951001 to find out if you can make a claim.

Common Injuries

As experienced personal injury solicitors we have fought and won hundreds of traffic injury claims and we know that one of the most common injuries suffered in a traffic accident is whiplash. Whiplash is a painful condition that often does not manifest itself for several hours or even the next day, even a low speed collision can cause whiplash injuries so it is worth remembering, if you can, to collect evidence and if you are injured to seek medical advice if you are in pain.

Evidence for Traffic Injuries

If you have been injured in a serious road collision or other serious incident then the emergency services will attend to treat you. But if you are able to collect evidence then here are a quick list of details that are useful, if you can, to record for evidence.

  • Photograph the scene, damage and location
  • Collect driver details, their name, address and insurance information
  • Record the car’s make, model, colour and registration number
  • Note the weather at the time particularly visibility
  • Collect details of any witnesses if possible

Uninsured or Untraced Drivers

If an accident happens then it is a legal requirement that any driver involved must provide their details. If the guilty driver flees the scene or fails to provide you with this information you must inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number.

If you are involved in a road accident with an uninsured driver then we can apply for compensation for your injury through the Uninsured Drivers Agreement. Similarly, your claim can still proceed despite a defendant not providing information. This would be though the Untraced Drivers Agreement. To prevent fraudulent claims you must report the incident to the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number.

Whatever the circumstances of your accident, if you have been injured and it was not your fault, call us to find out if you can make a no win no fee claim. As we are a team of experienced personal injury specialist solicitors we will act for you and you alone to advise you through the legal system to claim the compensation you are entitled to.
